Hopkins Tells Taylor "Now Or Never!"

Bernard Hopkins told the Associated Press that if Jermain Taylor does not accept his offer of $1.5 million to fight him on July 16th, the fight will never happen. Hopkins gave Taylor 24 hours to accept the offer or else he was likely going to face top middleweight Felix Sturm. [details]

That was fair. If Taylor wants his shot now he should have taken it. Who cares if he has to fight a couple fights for Oscar after? Oscar is a good promoter and will make him some money. Then he can go back to whoever he friggin wants.

I don't think i.5 million is a good price! I mean, first of all, I think Taylor and his camp know darn well that he's not ready for Hopkins. He's still too green and needs a few more fights before that happens. I don't think 1.5 million is enough money to tarnish a perfect record.
