And that would suck.
Paqcuiao lost nasty to Marquez and everyone forgot about that when the Floyd fight got signed.

If Canelo has lost a step and is completely shot then him fighting Benavidez in two weeks won't be any different than in May or next September.

If he's shot we ain't gonna see him fight Benavidez. If Mell, Bud or whoever beat him then they will probably leave 168 or retire & Benavidez is left holding his **** at 168 with no one there to fight that matters.

You guys are ****ing pathetic. Just be honest with yourself and say the real reason why you don't want to see him face Benavidez.

Well i think Nelo vs Benavidez will generate more money than Nelo vs Jermell at this juncture...

You misunderstand me. I do want Canelo to face Benavidez. That should be an interesting fight. I was responding to the poster who said the biggest money fight for Canelo was against Benavidez and was simply pointing out that Benavidez is not the biggest draw around. I suspect that Haymon and Canelo have planned to have the Benavidez fight as the third fight that Canelo has contracted with PBC. We shall see.

So when you said that Benavidez can't draw flies then Jermell is even worse ....

Probably you are right, but the reality is that Canelo has signed to fight the next three fights under the PBC banner. I suspect that his team and Al Haymon have pretty much figured out who the next 3 fights are. Keep in mind that apart from Tank none of the PBC fighters are mega draws. It is Canelo who generates the bulk of the revenues that feed all fighters he fights and the whole apparatus associated with the fights. My guess is that Benavidez will be the 3rd fight in this contract with PBC. It makes sense, at least to me, because in this line-up Benavidez is the biggest threat. If Canelo fights him first and loses then the next two fights will make less revenue. This is the best move, but anything can happen. it could turn out that Charlo smokes Canelo, and then Haymon stands to lose a bunch of money because Canelo's drawing power will diminish and PBC guaranteed top dollar. We shall see,
