Comments Thread For: Prograis: That Undisputed **** Really Don't matter; It Depend on Who You Beat

Regis Prograis apparently isn't sold on what many perceive to be one of the pinnacles of boxing achievements. In a recent interview, the WBC 140-pound titlist from New Orleans poured water over the concept of the undisputed champion, a distinction given to a fighter who is able to collect all four major titles in a given division.

True--they have created a mass of titles that all say "world champ." Better in the days of Henry Armstrong when there were only 8 titles.

Kambosos beat Teofimo who beat Lomachenko.

Devin Haney’s undisputed titles have legit lineage. Plus he just beat Lomachenko anyway in a close fight.

If he was Undisputed he'd look at it differently. Not knocking The Rougarou , just pointing out human nature.

True to a degree. To me Haney’s still only beatenLinares, Gamboa & Rambo Kambo.

undisputed is good but i wouldnt go overboard with it, sometimes it can be achieved in 1 fight & some roads are harder than others & often the achievers are humbled not long after, its can be more about boxing politics and catching guys at the right time

Completely agree... but don't say anything to Crawford fans (140) or Haney fans..... it's amazing how winning multiple paper belts all if sudden makes P4P best....

Thank you someone who gets it. Especially earning it the Devin Haney way. Let someone else do the dirty work then fight them.

I don’t trust Regis , if he beats Devin he will talking about how he beat undisputed champion.
