Judah hurt Cotto badly. Now imagine an even faster Judah with no stamina issues... Think again.

What type of goods can Castillo bring for Pacman if he chose to fly across the Pacific?

Castillo may be shot but he is very well experience in the name of Boxing.
the word shot is as over rated as shot castillo currently is

that guy got KO'd with a body shot by the last guy that pac fought, whom he demolished into retirement in less than 6 minutes

that guy's last fights were at WW, since he's too out of shape to campaign at LW, his natural weight

his last fight was against a guy whose record is 49 wins with 47 loses, and he needed 6 rounds to put him out of his misery

nowadays, castillo is ****... i mean, shot

“We’re going to try to make sure that Manny brings his power with him and we build on his strength as he bulks up without necessarily negating his speed,” said Ariza.

At this point, I'm thinking that Freddy has an ulterior motive evertime he talks to the media. He keeps dropping hints that the pacman is behind on his Camp at the same time letting us that Cotto is not only the toughest oponent but is way ahead as far as preparation. If Cotto wins - which I expect him to - Freddy has already laid the grownwork to dispute the victory.

What's this crap that if Castillo is not ready they are sending him back?! We are a month away from the fight.... there is not time to look for sparring partners! Especially when you have to flight them around the world.... and what's this **** of Castillo... might as well hit the heavybag, no way he can help the pacman get ready for Cotto.

As I mention before... my prediction goes with Cotto, but that doesn't mean that I'm not a fan of the Pacman. I want the best prepared man to win. However, my stand is that Cotto will be to big, to strong, to skill and will be able to take what Pacman brings and return the favor with interest. Nothing that I've seen from the Pacman (above 140) tells me that he will be able to back up Cotto (the way Margo and Clottey were able to do). On the other hand, I see Cotto using a strong jab and his boxing skills to back up Pacquioa thus controlling the tempo of the fight. Will Cotto get hit... no doubt! Will he be able to hit back.... you bet!

It will be a great fight!

wow, I mean, I respect your opinion, but bro, keep thinking like that and you will be like a handful of people that "NEVER KNEW WHAT HIT EM". Even at 46 years old, alot of fighters don't like sparring with Hector Camacho (senior) cause they can't get past his jab. With that said, Castillo will give Manny Pacquiao something to work with, just like dudes get frustated at Camacho's jab, Castillo will frustate Pac in such a way, so he won't get off his game plan come fight night.

Former champion Jose Luis Castillo is expected to arrive in the next couple of days to join Pacquiao's camp in Baguio City. Castillo will join Shawn Porter and Urbano Antillon as Pacquiao's sparring partners. Antillon is expected to leave soon to the United States for a fight.
I think it a good idea. Castiilo doesn't have to be his former self to help in training . He knows how to cut the ring off very well and applies a ton of pressure. Mayweather had a hard time getting Castillo off of him and Mayweather has amazing footwork. I believe that is what Roach will use Castillo for, to teach Pacquiao how deal with the pressure and how to use footwork and move around the the ring to not get cornered or get caught on the ropes. Pacquiao will probably not even throw a punch at Castillo it will all be about movement. Cotto will apply that same type of pressure and move even quicker, so Pacquiao will at least have to be familiar with the style. All this tells me that Roach is aiming for a decision or a late KO from an accumulation of punches and that they are definitely worried about Cottos power. Pacquiao will probably fight like Mayweather in this fight, what will people say about Pacquiao then. It was a brilliant technical performance by Mayweather, I mean Pacquiao but boring right?. Unless he gets knocked out ofcourse.
