Dont know if you follow the amateurs, but most of the top amateurs are grown men, most the teenagers will get their glory stolen anyway, might as well bring some pro go make the old men pay (although for most, they just cant go pro/no benefits)

lose lose situation for pacquiao... i think he's planning on running for president of the PI again when it's time.. this is the only reason i can think of as to why he would wanna participate in the Olympics.. so he can use this as a way to promote his presidential run.

Career ended with ugas. He deserves to want to step down with the sport how he sees fit. Still it's just love for boxing and motivation for his poverty stricken people. Highly doubt this move is political
