It'll do maybe 2 Mill, not 3 though.

Weren't you the same dude who posted a thread about some "expert" claiming Pac vs Cotto isnt selling? So if Pac vs Cotto doesn't do well, and GBP did tons and tons of last minute promotion for Floyd vs Marquez and got 1 mill ppv buys, how would both Floyd and Pac generate 3 Mill?

You don't think those same people who went to a friend's house instead to watch either of these fights would do the same for Pac vs Mayweather?

I posted information about the current status of ticket sales. With links and facts to back it up.

I am now posting an article by Mike Marley where he feres an an "expert" opinion of what a May-Pac fight would sell on PPV.

How are those two things contradictory?

But if he did beat Cotto and they were to try to work out a contract - the fight might fall there. They both want the bigger slice, both are stubborn and Freddie Roach has even said "Pac doesn't need Mayweather" so if Pac doesn't get what he wants - ths fight might not even be signed. Too many problems on the negioating table [Mayweather doesnt like Arum, etc]
What is Freddie Roach's OFFICIAL Title in the Pac-Man camp????????

For someone to be THE TRAINER - He seems to always have something to say - when in reality, If Manny said "Jump" all of those guys would falling over each other to be the one who jumped the highest.

So, If Manny wants the fight with Mayweather to cement his legacy and is willing to meet 50\50 ... Not Arum, Not the Roach, not anyone in the Pac-Mans camp will put up much of a fight.

So, The Roach needs to STOP putting up such a front, like he's in charge. Because, in reality, Manny and Manny alone, is totally in charge.

            Ravishing,

I'd like to respectfully introduce you to a concept called "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts". In business, this is referred as synergistic revenue generation.

For example, prior to The World Awaits, Oscar's biggest PPV was the 1.3 million he did with Trinidad. Floyd's biggest PPV was the 400K that he did with JUdah, and was actually coming off his low numbers of 330K with Baldomir in the 'Pretty Risky' fight.

Now, if you triangulated those numbers, you would have come up with something in the range of 1.4 to 1.6 mil, assuming some overlap of the hardcore fan.

            Nobody was projecting 2.4 mil.

Guys, it won't happen until Mayweather agrees to take less than 50% of the prize purse.

                No doubt.

But seeing how Roach talks alot about Manny and how he did during the contract issue with DLH and for the Hatton fight, i'd see this being a bigger issue with Pac-Mayweather. Pacquiao basically lets his camp do everything for him and they feel he deserves more than anyone for some reason. So that's what im getting at.

What would be perceived as the greater legacy bump:

                  1) A Pac win over Cotto

                  2) A Floyd win over Shane

                  Interested in opinions....

Pacquiao winning the 7th weight division title is a far greater legacy than Floyd fighting a real welterweight.

Why would Floyd ever do that? Even Arum is now admitting that Mayweather is a draw and could get purse parity.
