Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Has No Interest In Fighting Contenders, Strictly Fighting For The Biggest Bank

As a young kid, Tyson Fury initially gravitated to the sport of boxing for a number of reasons. The freedom to punch someone in the face without getting in trouble, the artistry of it, and of course, those beautiful world titles.

I don’t blame him and more power to him for getting those big pay days. That’s good for him and his family. But my only problem is that he’s holding the WBC title hostage.

You mean Usyk has to make three to four times the amount fighting Fury as opposed to anyone else....and he has to go in and beat Fury and be unified and lineal.

Poor Usyk. No one cares about the belts anymore, that is the reality of the game these days. Because the sanctioning bodies are a joke now and alot of paper champs.

Usyk wants it, go get it. Make a massive payday

Don't be surprised if Fury defends his Irish title in a rematch agianst Big Marty Rogan next. That's the level he's at now. Feasting on domestic and fringe nobodies while he bribes off the WBC and holds the title hostage. Fury's reign his been pathetic considering his been in his prime for a decade since winning the belt and has basically done didgly shiiit with it.

I'm with you on all points. It's the business of prizefighting however, as you say, he's holding things up for the fighters that do want titles and, as he says himself, he isn't intested in them.
WBC need to either order a mandatory defence, strip him, or maybe even make him "Champion in Recess" as, in reality, that's what he is.
          Thanks.

strip him of his WBC and Lineal title, consider him retired. These titles will become worthless if he doesn't fight a top boxer.

You want big money fight usy k and Josh then retire. It's obviously going to be exhausting making just these 2 fights. It's obvious you don't like getting punched for a living. After taking wilder s best punches im not suprised.
Forget about Zhang ( id love that in china) flip, joyce, etc
