... for him to become the best fighter of our generation and a GOAT, he would need to lose his '0'.
Because after that loss he would have no fears.
good point. I just think that he puts too much value on his record with out considering what the fans of the sport think about the caliber of the people he has fought.
he also prizes too much the fact that he has never been cut or beaten badly.
When he stops caring about those things and starts to seek the GOAT and best of this generation, we will see what he is made of.
I know the feelin he has. When I'm undefeated on something (Fight Night for example) I don't want to fight somebody who may beat me, because I might lose my 0. Then once I've lost I don't care I just fight anybody.
So I can imagine that on a much much larger scale.
What makes a fighter great is Fighting the best at all cost. If you lose you fight them again. You keep fighting. Its called Over coming adversity. (the demon) Get into a few wars and come off the canvas to a victory. Be bleeding with a bad cut and fight through anything to win. Do this kinda fighting with great other fighters and who could hate on that.
Ducking fighters and taking easy wins to keep your 0 is a punk ass thing to do. Fighting who you wanna fight and not who the fans wanna see is ****ed up. Unify a division and fight the best regardless of Money or PPV sells. Stop up and comers from trying to get yours and retire the older warriors. also fighting smaller guys is a ***** thing to do as well.

abso****inglutely. Real legends of the sport are judged not by staying undefeated but by how you respond to a loss. Do you go naseem hamed & basically just quit, or do you respond & show true legendary championship heart?
Undefeated records = su****iousness.
Just look at all the fighters that are undeafeated or retired undefeated.
Show me a undefeated fighter & i will show you someone who hasnt really fought anybody.
