The Boxing nuts won't admit this, but go to a fight party and tell me what people are doing before the main event. I've been following Boxing for many, many years and I can't tell you the last under card I literally sat and watch entirely through. Just is what it is...
You didn't sit down and watch 'the night of the rematches' undercard entirely through? You missed a great undercard then. That was the last great fight card from top to bottom.

what? I thought it was a pretty decent undercard. Gomez-Soto Karass should be ok to watch, and Chavez Jr is going to get a KO over some guy.

Santos vs Foreman could very well be a snoozer though...hopefully Santos makes it a fight, hes been getting more exciting as his career goes on.

I thought Soto was going to fight someone(if not Valero) on the undercard.

This is where Arum and other boxing promoters look like complete idiots. Sure, people are going to buy this PPV and having a few big names on it hurts your profits and how much the main eventers get but in the long run it would help make profits and the sport in general. No one outside of the boxing community knows who Valero, Lopez, Jacobs, Korbov, or any other decent fighter/prospect out there is. This is the biggest card of the year and you are going to load up on fighters that don't mean a damn thing. It's a joke and if I wasn't a big time Cotto fan I would considering not buying this PPV and this is coming from someone that gets all the PPVs. I am just irate and almost fed up with how ****** people are that run my favorite sport.

Soto got moved to Top Rank Latin Fury PPV card on Dec 19. They wanted to make way for Chavez Jr. Who has more of a following from Mexicans. I think the PPV on paper is kinda weak. BUt, I agree that Gomez-Soto Karrass should be a pretty good scrap.

Who cares about this card? I know I don't. At least the Floyd-JMM undercard was decent on paper. The opening fight was a war, and Michael Katsidis put up a good effort to make an action fight, even though Escabedo's will got broken and the fight became one-sided. And then there was a slight possibility that the John-Juarez rematch would be exciting like the first fight even though it was a let down. There is not one good fight on the Pacquiao-Cotto undercard. And for that reason, I'm not buying it and letting Arum rip me off.
its becoming more an more common now that the big superfights in boxing ( floyd oscar floyd hatton oscar pacman hopkins pavlik) all have crap undercards which annoys the hell out of me because imagine how good certain events would be

The fact that you pay for these cards is what makes the promoter that puts on this garbage think you are the one that is ******. I can't see paying for a card that has no good fights on the undercard at all with no guarantee that the main event will live up to the hype. If you are one of those people that's able to make fun social events out of PPVs I could maybe see ordering them. But I live life like a nomad, and I have to be selective about the PPVs I order.

The last fight I ordered of where I really feel like I got my money's worth was the Cotto-Margarito fight. And Arum put that together oddly enough. The Segura-Canchilla fight was decent. The thing that makes me feel like I got ripped off now, is the fact that Margarito turned out to be a slug. Not just from cheating, but not staying dedicated as well. The last good undercard that Arum had was on the Pacquiao-Morales 1 PPV. I forgot the other fights on it besides Arce-Hussein Hussein.
