The drama is being created by the boxing fans, not the media or team Pacquiao. At least, that's how it seems to me.

One thing everyone needs to understand is that Manny isn't bothered by distractions or probably even thrives on it. I think reason is, that he is a well rounded person who has millions of other interests besides boxing. Boxing is only one part of what makes Manny up, unlike most fighters, who only live for boxing and boxing only. Once these fighters get distracted it's game over for them.

For Manny, everything he does is part of who he is and it looks like he handles it very well. For him, running for political office, acting in movies, recording tracks, playing basketball, and ******** is all part of who he is, which only happens to include boxing.

I think Manny is one of the calmest, coolest, most secure individuals you'll ever meet and he doesn't get fazed or distracted by anything. This is a guy who walks to the ring smiling and acknowledging people before he goes up and beats up his opponent. He can totally separate the two emotions in the same space, time, and environment. I think Manny is one cool, calm and collected cat.

Plus, he once mentioned that if he ever loses, it's because it was "God's decision". Meaning he will never stop doing other things besides boxing because if he loses it wasn't because of the "distractions", but because it's "God's will".

There's some truth in what you're saying, as far as PAC thriving on these "supposed distractions". It's kinda like each individual has a different learning style ie, some people prefer to study alone and in a quiet environment and some, like PAC, do better when they're actually around people.

However, PAC's only human, he has his temptations and it could definitely cloud a person's way of thinking. Lets use Rocky III as an example(I know it's a movie) remember when Mick kept telling Rocky that his whole training camp was full of bull and that he needed to go back to the old grungy gym w/o the women and fans watching his every move. But, Rocky thought everything was going great and even told Mick he had nothin' to worry about.

1. Pacquiao is worshiped in the Philippines, he will have way too many distractions there... even people on here have said he hasn't had proper training every time he trains there, Baguio is a bad place.

2. Castillo isn't as bad as some people are making out... I aint saying he is a great choice, but he still aint a bad one... hes a good one, wont do any harm cause hes got other sparring partners, people have sparred with guys less talented than Castillo before a big fight before.

3. It does kinda look like it, something is just not right... Pacquiao doens't seem focused as much as he was for the Hatton fight... maybe its the media swaying us... but I get what ehs saying.

4. I agree, as long as its a one off... I don't think its a big deal, as long as it is that... a one off, plus its better to get done early in the training rather than later when your closer to the fight.

pacman usually trains at the wild card gym where no fans are allowed..now he's in a gym full of fans,media and cameras.....big differance
