The sad reality is you're only as good as your level of opponent. Up until recently, Crawford never really had that defining moment fight. That last opponent, unfortunately, was Gamboa. And it didn't help that Gamboa's stock has fallen dramatically over the years.

Floyd Mayweather never really got his just due untill he faced DLH. Even though he put on boxing clinics against the likes of Hernandez, Corrales, and Manfredy....among others.

Now that Crawford has arrived, hopefully he'll stay recognized as one of the best. As long as he continues to win, he will.

This is unfortunately, how boxing works.....

Well, he shouldn't have fought shithaus after shithaus then. I like Crawford, but his record is arsecheeks.

Crawford seems a little insecure about his legacy probably due to the low competition he has fought he himself knows it might not be enough for a long lasting legacy, Even before the Spence fight he was always whining about being/not being (officially) p4p #1 like who gives a **** about p4p people rightfully didn't acknowledge Crawford because his resume is meh.

Yeah it's a shame that Bob was looking after the health of his star fighter near the twilight of his career. He was right that Crawford would've annihilated Manny and it's doubtful that he would've even gotten credit for it since Manny was old and past his prime. If that fight did happen and Manny was hurt bad, people would complain that Bob is only about money and doesn't give a damn about the health of his fighters. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

"****" blocked? Do you even know what that means? It has absolutely nothing to do with someone denying an individual of a career building opportunity, unless of course you're in the **** industry.

He's pretty self aware in the ring though isn't he. Spence looked like a deer in headlights who wasn't even sure what was happening. I find it funny that people feel the need to trash someone who is so accomplished because of their honest opinion in an interview.

That's funny because virtually everyone in the boxing world, including other world champions agree that Crawford is #1 P4P. I wonder how he got there? It must be some kind of conspiracy I guess.

They froze Archie out of the title picture until he was well in his 40's. Guys like Charley Burley and Sam Langford never got world title shots, and they were both about as good as it gets. At least with Bud, he got to make good money along the way, and win titles. It's mainly the dumb ass fans who keep saying he ain't fought nobody, and it was Bob Arum, who failed to promote Bud like he promoted his little white or latin fighters. And the other powers in boxing like PBC who wouldn't let Bud fight the top ppl from their roster because he wouldn't sign to them, knowing all along that he could kick all their asses. Floyd, Ellerbe, and Al Haymon have all clearly understood this from day one and did all they could to blacklist Bud and try to age him out. Dirty mofos
Wow, a common sense post. You see that less and less here as time goes on.
