    At 154, maybe. Not 168.

With modern sports nutrition and science, an elite athlete putting on 10-15 pounds of muscle in a year is easy. The assumption that Bud is walking around at 190-200, and that he drops all fat to get to 147, is silly. He is sacrificing muscle to get there as well. A 20-30 pound drop to 168 would mean a far easier weight cut, he'd hold onto more muscle and just not be super shredded as he usually is. Canelo isn't super shredded either at 168, he could go to 160 and a bit lower if he wanted to.

Crawford relies on ring IQ to beat guys. IMO he has the highest ring IQ of any fighter in the last few decades and is in the top 5 all time. He differentiates himself because he fights egoless. Canelo is a bully. Floyd was a defense first/runner with power who had a high ring IQ and knew how to never get hurt. Pac was a smart fighter but bought into his abilities and thought no one could deal with his angles and speed.

Etc, etc. Most boxers have a certain thing and they do that thing, and that is all they do. Their egos are huge.

Watch Bud fight anyone. He never goes in thinking, I got this, I'm the man, I am going to knock this dude out. He always, always makes small adjustments in the ring, on the fly, as he watches what his opponent is doing. It is damn near a supernatural ability, a spidey sense. He starts catching guys inbetween their shots. He forces them off balance and throws huge shots at the same time he is doing this. He gets out of the way of big shots with ease and then catches the opponent.

He is, simply put, an all time great boxer. He is also alot stronger than he looks, he has power in both hands and he has great recovery abilities if he gets hit....he gets meaner.

He stops Canelo if they fight and he demolishes Charlo. Neither guy has near Bud's skill. Bud doesn't need to be big, if he puts on ten pounds of muscle, and hydrates properly, he will dominate both guys. The only catch being father time. But he shows zero signs of slowing down yet.

I really can't say whether Canelo can beat Terence Crawford or not. I think we'll all learn a lot, about where Canelo's skill level is right now, on September 30th!

Are you mental? Bud is 5' 7" - 5'8", is an elite level athlete and has an athletic build. He's not a stocky Canelo type build. There is no way in hell he walks around at 180 or more. That is an absolutely ridiculous notion. Where do you people get this nonsense? I'm Bud's height or taller, have an average to above average build with solid, muscular legs and I never get higher than 160 and I'm not in nearly as good shape as he is.
You must be a Trump supporter because the amount of nonsense you get on with is on his level.

So according to these clowns, a guy who came up from lower weight classes, who fights at welterwight and is average height and build for that weight, gets up to cruiserweight between fights. I don't know what these people are smoking but it's clearly turned their brains into mush. Bud would be fat at 168 or more like when James Toney got older and started to move up in weight. Forget about 180-190, that's just ridiculous.

              Floyd the smarter boxer.

T Bud takes 4 rounds to figure guys out

Floyd has them cracked in 2. And against better opponents

T bud isn’t Floyd and canelo isn’t 23 weight drained anymore, y’all talking crazy thinking bud can beat canelo. Not at 68 he can’t at least not now maybe if he acclimates to the weight but if he wants the smoke after canelo/charlo assuming canelo does what everyone thinks and stops charlo then yeah bud getting smoked too

I will say this again...If you think you'll see the same version of Bud currently at 147 but 21 pounds north at 168 ,you could get disappointed. Definitely whole different Bud even with his high ring IQ.
