Happens often to American tourists who travelled to Jamaica. They said they just grabbed a bag and packed but they had used the same bag to go on hunting trips before.

American social media sensation Jayda Cheaves and another visitor have been arrested on gun charges in Montego Bay, St James.

Cheaves also known as Jayda Wayda, and a member of her entourage, Gregory Wright, have been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition after two guns and 15 bullets were found in their possession.

A female tourist from Georgia in the United States, accused of illegal possession of a firearm at the airport in St James, was sentenced when she appeared before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court recently.

Charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition is 33-year-old Nikki Adams, who pleaded guilty to the offence.

An American who was arrested at the Sangster International Airport oin Montego Bay, St James on December 12, and later charged for firearms-related offences, was fined $30,000 or 30 days in jail when he appeared in the Western Regional Gun Court on Tuesday.

Reports are that at about 1:56 pm, the American—27-year-old Auden Kayton, an electrical linesman of Mount Holly, North Carolina—was going through the security checkpoint when his knapsack was scanned and oddities were detected.

The police were alerted and the bag was searched and two 9mm cartridges were found.

Kayton was arrested and subsequently charged with illegal possession of ammunition.

I doubt he got it in UK no reason. It could be he had it in his luggage (it was checked luggage not hand luggage) going, but checked luggage would go through some scan in the back somewhere as well. Im guessing it was in the suitcase going checked in, US have either not picked it up or not bothered since its leaving the country and in checked luggage, and its stayed in the suitcase and then manchester airport caught it in scanners once checked in. But if mistakenly left in suitcase and brought over surely he would know when he saw it in uk or hes not realised. Or the simple explanation is he is just that dumb and knew all along and brought it along
