Can we get a legit GOAT from the current HW division?

It's always been quite shallow. At the moment it's very uneven with no fighter displaying all roundness. It has some deep names to it though and it is competetvie.

Fury - openly mocks other fighters by saying he doesn't even need to get in shape to outbox them
    Wilder - we all know
    Joshua - yeah we know
Usyk - highly skilled but undersized
Joseph Parker - tough puncher but not much to him
Dubois - in the same category as Parker
Chisora - not a great but looks good on the record
Ruiz - fast and skilled but yeah ... we know
Arslan - Giant/Monstrous puncher ... really scrappy and has poor self control
Jared Anderson - lots of potential but remains to be seen
Efe Ajagba - remains to be seen
Jalolov - looks very solid but like above

If someone can hold over the division I think we could gain a new GOAT. It's a big division and sure it's no golden era but fighters can only do what they can in their time. If Usyk can pull it off I'd say it's certain since undersized fighters tend to get more historical clout for winning at HW.

GOAT, like p4p, is just a debate between fans and pundits, but I don't see how anyone in this weak era can be considered HW GOAT. To be considered HW GOAT, you have to have such skills at HW that you could beat all the great HWs of all time. Just for recency, none of the current HWs can beat Lennox Lewis. How can Usyk be considered HW GOAT when he has struggled in his run at HW against weak opponents like old Chisora, mentally damaged Joshua and quitter Dubois?

not always true. Marciano was in a relatively weak era but he pops up in the debate. We could also argue Lewis could beat Ali, but I'd still place Ali above Lewis.

Fury will be easily top 5 ever if he becomes undisputed. Maybe even top 4 behind Ali, Louis and Lewis.

GOAT level is hard to break. Ali has too solid resume despite robberies and beating smaller bois. Fury gotta clear everyone to become GOAT.

Usyk or Fury can get there but they have to fight each other.
