It's always been quite shallow. At the moment it's very uneven with no fighter displaying all roundness. It has some deep names to it though and it is competetvie.
Fury - openly mocks other fighters by saying he doesn't even need to get in shape to outbox them
Wilder - we all know
Joshua - yeah we know
Usyk - highly skilled but undersized
Joseph Parker - tough puncher but not much to him
Dubois - in the same category as Parker
Chisora - not a great but looks good on the record
Ruiz - fast and skilled but yeah ... we know
Arslan - Giant/Monstrous puncher ... really scrappy and has poor self control
Jared Anderson - lots of potential but remains to be seen
Efe Ajagba - remains to be seen
Jalolov - looks very solid but like above
If someone can hold over the division I think we could gain a new GOAT. It's a big division and sure it's no golden era but fighters can only do what they can in their time. If Usyk can pull it off I'd say it's certain since undersized fighters tend to get more historical clout for winning at HW.
