Whatever is his medical problem, seems of no concern to the WBA. Rolly might as well order pizza and watch TV on the couch with Mall.

Any lesser fighter would had been mandated or stripped, he is aligned correctly so there is always wiggle room or some obscure rule.
Romero is one of the most protected fighters today. His mouth gets him more fights than his abilities.

The WBA have zero integrity like most of the sanctioning bodies. Puello shouldn't of been given a voluntary after winning a vacant title, instead he should of fought Davis or Barroso. Thus when Puello failed, Davis vs Barroso would of been the logical step.
However, the greed of the WBA has created a disgraceful situation. Where Romero's claim of being a champion is questionable due to the circumstances of his victory. Barroso has been discarded even though he has a legitimate claim to the title; this is likely due to not having powerful backers like Romero.
Overall, the sanctioning bodies have to much power within boxing and are clearly inept, corrupt, and embarrassing.Sid-Knee likes this.

Davies's team better start legal processes or they can forget about that title.

The WBA has extended its own deadline as the junior welterweight title picture remains at a standstill. Rolando Romero and Ohara Davies continue to wait out the process as Romero's medical records are still being reviewed by the sanctioning body. The reigning WBA junior welterweight titlist filed for an exemption to delay his mandatory title status, citing an undisclosed injury.
