Just to remind all of the boxing pundits, and fans in general what all of the hoopla was about, Xander Zayas needs to get back on his knockout streak.
He should start that knockout streak with Roberto Valenzuela JR., and I do mean a spectacular knockout.
Fighting boxers who are who are more fluid boxers should also be incorporated into his his opponents in order to get him accustomed to fighting all different styles of fighters.
This guy can definitely be one of the next champions out of Puerto Rico, and I think that he's going to make it happen.
He's not as exciting as Tito, Cotto, or Gomez were, but he's working on it, good luck young blood, you've got some big shoe's to fill.

"I'm excited and focused on getting the job done. It's been eight weeks of solid work throughout training camp. I know I'm going to be ready for a big fight, as I've been sparring alongside the experienced Mexican fighter Juan Macias Montiel, who has faced the big names in the middleweight division. I am sure his style and experience have brought out the best in me, and you will see that on September 15. I will be more than ready to give another great show to the fans in Corpus Christi and everyone watching live on ESPN.”

He is working and sparring with Montiel for his next fight. His next opponent is Roberto Valenzuela Jr. 21(20tko)-4 losses.

I stand corrected, I just got the names of who he was sparring, and who he was fighting next mixed up.
