  • Comments Thread For: Tim Tszyu Welcomes Crawford Fight, Admits He's "Very Hard To Beat"

The cupboard is somewhat bare at 147 pounds for Terence Crawford. Sure he could stick around and take on a few former champs such as Keith Thurman and Yordenis Ugas - or even an up-and-coming star such as Jaron Ennis, but neither of those options make a ton of sense in his opinion.

At least Tim is willing to admit so! Not so much with Jermell

Tszyu can hit but like most fighters, he might never land the big one on Crawford who will be countering.

Tim is probably the best boxer puncher between 154-160 as a prep fight if Crawford plans to fight Canelo.

Totally agree, a loss to bud wouldn't hurt his career, and it's a fight I'd like to see

Just stop it. Tim is no boxer-puncher, he carries a good punch with little to no defense or head movement. He's more of a "lay all my cards on the table and let's fight" type. While most fights that he's in would be entertaining, including this one, he doesn't possess the skillset to say that he's the best challenge for Crawford between 154 and 160.

As a matter of fact, I could see Fundora, Lubin, Danny Garcia, Lara, Alimkhunaly, and many others capable of putting Tszyu to sleep with his lack of defense, much less him being the best opponent for Bud.

You clearly haven't been watching Tim's fights.
He definitely uses head movement and active guard to land his big shots.

Lets make Crawford vs GGG @160 in fall and Canelo vs Crawford. @168 next year.

I've actually watched almost every fight in the past 3 years, and its his lack of defense and head movement that keeps him from being as talented as he should be at this point.

This will be akin to Mayweather vs Canelo in a way. Young up and comer, P4P #1 coming up in weight and will school the youngster.. I like it as an interim fight for both of them…Crawford would probably have to Australia to make the kind of money he will want.
