Comments Thread For: Team Usyk Confident That Dubois' Appeal Has 'Zero' Chance of Success

Alexander Krassyuk, promoter for unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, does not believe Daniel Dubois will be successful in his appeal of Saturday's outcome in Poland. Usyk scored a ninth round knockout of Dubois to retain the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles.

If Usyk needs a tuneup at some point, why not just give Dubois a rematch for easy money.

They should offer Dubois less than half of what he got the first time too. Since the money is really what he wants.

Dubois is set in his ways, he will never give boxing fans a true fight, because he’ll quit before that. I don’t need to see or hear from the guy ever again. Third times the charm.

I think he deserves a fair appeal, regardless if we think it was a legal punch, low, or borderline. At least we can see what comes out of a review and the rationale behind a ruling.

i aint taking sides, i aint saying anything
              but
had Dubois came out and blitzed Usyk, like he had been endlessly SAYING he was gonna do...
this wouldnt have been an issue at all!
by the 3rd round, i was yelling JAB, CROSS, THROW SOMETHING!
so he lost the fight before this "low blow" even happened...
              imo!

                ...

FACT: Usyk got stopped with a bodyshot

LMAO at the muppets who think he can somehow beat Fury

Fury would snap Usyk in half with those shots that hit Wilder

IMO it was borderline, so I guess a review is fine... but doubtful it goes anywhere.
BTW... Dubois didn't do much to win the fight... certainly not what he promised.
Will be interesting to see how this turns out... but hopefully we can finally get Fury/Usyk in the ring.

The Navel in line with the top of the hips is a thin line around the waist. This is the technical criteria that will decide and its seems fairly clear that the knuckles are just below that line, maybe an inch, winners and losers in sports are decided in fractions, this is just one of those cases no different than was the punch on the bell or after it, sometimes things are really close.
