Would like to see Canelo flatten them both but he's slowing too so who knows.

        What’s in it for Canelo:
        1. A payday he’s already seen before, probably not even the biggest.
        2. If he wins, no one will care, his critics will just hate on it.
        3. If he loses, his critics will use it as some form of confirmation that Canelo has ****** his whole career.
        4. Aftermath of winning: Canelo going up in weight and losing is still hated on even today. So even if he takes on big challenges, and loses, critics will hate him.
Don't disagree with the other 3 points, but idk about 2. Bud has more name value now than he's ever had & idk if the mainstream fans gaf about weight stuff that much. Half these interviews since the Errol W were asking Bud about fighting Tank & they are two divisions apart.

And lets be honest with the critics thing. Canelo hasn't cared about critics in a long time & doesn't really need to. If he did he'd be fighting David Benavidez now not Mall Charlo.

But overall I agree with your point, its a much better opportunity for Bud then it'd be for Canelo. Canelo can do whatever he wants to do & he's getting sexy checks til he's done.

It's not that it's ridiculous, but let's call it what it is, a payday, and that's fine, but there's no chance that Crawford beats Canelo at 168, barring some injury or cut that is always a possibility in boxing but chances are slim. And for those who say that Crawford is faster etc etc, which might be true, Crawford packing 15 to 20 pounds of muscle would eliminate that advantage quickly.

Its a smart move by TC, Canelo is on the slide and he has another fight with Charlo to add to that, and Canelo is not a full-sized 168 he came from 147 and on top Canelo can be outboxed, now if Canelo blows Charlo away you watch TC go in another direction, its all about how Canelo and Charlo look at the end of the next month.

man...does Bud have some beef with Haymon or something?

he really is trying to eliminate all current fighters that brings cashflow to PBC..

                you love to see it

I think he likes him. On a business podcast Bud was on a week ago he was talking up knowing more about how things work now with the long money vs the short gtd money. I think he ends his career with PBC esp since Canelo is likely there til the end of 2024 & thats the fight he's talking up more now.

This fight would happened depending on the out come of Canelo vs Charlo, if Canelo destroys Charlo, Bud will say no to Canelo. The fight has to happen at 168c cause Canelo has said it, he is not fighting below 168 no matter the opponent. Intriguing fights, intriguing time!

beating a 34 yr old Canelo @ 168 and becoming undisputed for the THIRD time is a more impressive and significant win than mayweather beating a 23 yr old Canelo catchweight @152
