The reason Cotto lasted longer was because he spent half the night running away from Pac.
Whereas Ricky ran at Pac lol
LOL!!
The conclusion is Hatton should not have been called overrated. He is undefeated at 140 before the Pac fight. Both Cotto and Hatton ended with the same result....a TKO/KO loss from Pac.
Did Cotto shot himself in the foot for calling Hatton overrated for losing to Pacquiao?
I seen a thread about if Cotto should retire if he loses to Pacquiao, and most of you said "Cause of 2 losses???"
I think it's beyond "Cause of two losses".
And I think he did a big mistake for discrediting Pacquiao's win over Hatton by calling Hatton overrated.
If he gets KTFO by Pacquiao(no matter what round) he's still got KTFO by Pacquiao, a former featherweight but that's not the problem cause everyone knows Pacquiao IS a great fighter and that's why Cotto is underdog and many think he'll get stopped by this former Featherweight.
So idk, although i want Cotto to win, I think he pretty much set himself up to look like a fool and join Ricky Hatton, in his own list that he made for Hatton, the overrated fighters list.
I give Pacquiao full credit for a beating a tough fighter like Hatton the way he did, and I think Cotto should have said this same thing also. That Hatton was a great win, but now if Pacman knocks the F out...well...Cotto shot himself in the foot.
to be fair, cotto took a 12 round beating while hatton was KOed in 2.

Floyd has exposed boxer after boxer after boxer throughout his career - does that mean that anyone who wins a fight over someone he has beaten shouldn't get credit for it?
