We're the people that pay to watch, bet and talk about them. We give meaning to their lives and allow for them to amass fortune and fame. Without us, they are nothing.

I'd say that gives us the right to have an opinion and make judgment, on the understanding that it doesn't count for FA in the general scheme of things anyway.

Like AJ he's a bricksheeethouse so the physical is there, the skill can be improved, but that mental stuff can hold a person back a lot.

That said odds are he keeps steering his ship in the same direction & he falls further down to a fringe contender then down to a gatekeeper over the next few yrs.
      Hey Panda...good to see ya.

The punch was legal. for sure. Usyk big time milked the situation ... he probably loses if it gets called correctly. Dubois wasted a golden opportunity. No crying or disillusionment .... get in there and finish the man off. He was right where you wanted him to be. All of the greats would have got busy and finished Usyk off, and maybe punched the ref accidentally too. LoL!

It's a fight man. Everything may not be called perfectly or correct. Shrug it off and stay in warrior mode. A deserving HW Champ would have pressed him and dropped him some more, to prove it was a good shot. Dubois needs more dog in him. Therefore, even though the punch should have counted, Dubois did not deserve to win the fight. He got soft and was looking for a helping hand when he should have gotten mean and efficient. Thus, Usyk is still the champ.

PS - Usyk IS vulnerable to these HW's. I wasn't sure after the Joshua fights but now I am.

A HW world title has only one reason to be disheartened, and that is being beaten, nothing outside of that should put out the fire of winning that prestigious title.

He never deserved a shot anyway.....and if anybody has a weak chin it’s dubois .....seems to get rocked by lightweight shots.
my first view of the incident made me think it was a legit shot but if the ref did say anything on the waist band or below is illegal then it’s an illegal shot and the shot did inch below the waistband......most fighters regardless of where that shot landed and if they really thought that shot was legal would have gone after usyks midrift like a man possessed knowing he already hurt bad there....that tells me there is a ticker problem with dubois

He does have to be mentally tougher at this level. He fatigues late in a fight and his chin is dodgy. But fair effort.

It would've been interesting what a ref in England would've done. Usyk says he would then have gotten up if counted, but man, not sure how he would've fought, as he looked he was too hurt.

He was sitting there in pain, seemingly. So; he wasn't keeled over like Ryan and De La Hoya (Hopkins) in their ko losses, or holding the side like Virgil Hill against Jones, but yeah, he was out for a while.

Can't fathom how someone gets an opportunity for 3 belts and a potential life changing win then quits off a jab because their disheartened that a low shot didn't go in there favour.

He has quit twice now. I never want to watch dubois fight and quit a third time. Just retire and go train your sister.

Even though I thought that he should have gotten a KO win after that gut shot, but when the fight continued, he showed his lack of mental resilience and toughness plus usyk turned it up after that controversial "low blow"..
