Comments Thread For: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Filip Hrgovic: IBF Expected To Order Mandatory Title Fight

Oleksandr Usyk will have to wait at least one more fight for any shot at fuly unifying the heavyweight crown. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the IBF is prepared to order its mandatory title defense between Usyk and number-one contender Filip Hrgovic. The plan has been in place all month but parked due to the rotational system in place for unified titlists.

Now that will be a good fight. But Hrgovic can box, he has Olympic and World Series of Boxing pedigree, and he is skilled. Not to mention powerful, and owns a greater reach ( 4" advantage ) which is key for this fight as it will limit Usyk going in and out, being just out of range of like he is usually. I think Hrgovic will knock Usyk out. Except Usyk to do something he has never done, duck him and dropping a belt to avoid the fight.

Hrgovic has the secret weapon to finally expose Usyk's weakness: rabbit punches.

It all depends on what Fury want to do, he will drop a belt to for that huge pay day and the prestige of fighting the best in the division. Fury doesn’t know what he’s having for tea never mind he’s doing in 6 months time.

Usyk can`t take it to the body and Hrgovic has a bad stamina. Will be interesting.

Why? He deserved to fight Usyk. He did what is necessary to be on this position.

Usyk can`t take it to the body. Now we know that for sure.

But unfortunately Hrgovic is not a great body puncher.

He is a good body puncher, few are great body punchers. Do you watch his fights? He got a mean left hook to the body. The punch is featured is his arsenal.
