The low blow fest was better than the Anderson fight. He did not need to fight an overmatch opponent like this. He didn't offered anything. he was not tall like the top HWs, not a puncher and was shop worn.

Something about the past year has got me wondering how much time boxing left as a serious sport. Bad refs, bad decisions, bad matchups. The biggest fights of the year featured youtube fighters.

The up and coming prospects all look overrated. The talent level in general is falling. In past decades there were enough good fighters in the sport to make it interesting. Apart from Crawford and Inoue, it is just kind of meh.

Tonight was a good representation of where the sport is heading. Boring, mismatches, announcers desperately trying to make it all seem exciting.

The last year has just left me with no desire to even bother with it anymore.

Right. Like feather chin Dubois wasn’t an overmatched opponent. Usyk folded in half from the Dubois body shot. Imagine what a real puncher could do to Usyk.

You obviously didn’t watch the Top Rank co-main event.

My error. Missed it. I was switching back and forth from a football game and missed the low blow extravaganza. All I saw was the winner grimacing in his corner without the normal celebration.

Loved seeing him work the jab to maintain control, disrupt, and set up bigger shots.
His hand speed seemed better compared to other fights.
I believe the big question mark with Anderson will be if he can work offense and defense at the same time. He got caught with a lot of counters while he was landing and that cannot happen against A fighters unless he wants his chin to do a ton of work for him.

Look at the league minimum salary for NFL and then look at how few boxers make even that much. So much of the talent is going to other sports and I imagine many of these kids are seeing that even if they devote their lives to boxing, promoters don't care enough to get them good fights.

What can you say , Big Baby got hit often and hard but still got the knockout
His opponent didn’t seem to wanna be there at all
Not sure if it’s Anderson’s power or not but he looked like a defeated fighter after the first few blows
Anderson needs to tighten that défense , can’t see him going to far without it
