I've been saying that Boots deserves a shot, but NSB would rather see Crawford fight a lightweight.

Okay then stay active or legally demand your shot.

Which “notable” wins did Kavaliauskas and Avanesyan have to get a shot at Bud?

Salute to the whole Ennis Family! Philly Stand Up! Sorry Bozy, but you know how it goes! Bud will fight Tank @ 147, before he would fight your son, and you know why! It's all business! Just keep the pressure on the IBF, to force Crawford to vacate if he's going to fight Spence at 154! In the meantime, Stanionis or Thurman! Make It Happen ASAP!

Otherwise, he would not have allowed him to fight on a ESPN card, which was scrapped due to Ortiz's illness.
Stanionis was available for long periods of time before Ortiz filed a petition. Uncle Al could have given him a stay-busy fight.
Stanionis is with PBC. Golden Boy won the purse bid, which is why he was fighting Vergil on DAZN. Fulton is PBC too, but Haymon gave the blessing for him to fight Inoue on ESPN. I'm sure he would do it for Stanionis vs. Boots too, but he probably would rather Thurman vs. Stanionis! Boots is not with PBC, only Showtime.

One thing you have to give Bud, he has a great corner, and he's a master at execuiting the game plan and also at making split second adjustments whenever needed. Add to that, his conditioning, power in both hands, etc, but you can say the same thing about Boots. This is one fight I want to see, but Bud is going to chase the big money now. Since dominating Errol the way he did, he's building his brand, doing interviews all over the place and getting his face out there, talking and engaging the public more. PBC is going to advise him and help him promote himself in a way that Bob Arum never did. Part of the building his brand strategy probably consists of staying the hell away from Boots, the same way they kept Errol away from Bud for years and years.
