I can't count this fight as a good win for murray as it was such a B/S stoppage. Amir would beat this guy easily anyway

Time to step up. Murray has only one way to go,needs to test himself against a world top ten opponent. even if the stoppage was premature,it was inevitable. 28-0,time to step up.

I'd like to see murray fight some decent opposition now. He has been at this level for far to long.

            Good performance nonetheless!

That's what bugs me about so many British fighters - their parochial attitude. He constantly calls out fighters who have been fighting a far higher level of opposition than he has ever fought, instead of stepping up and fighting some decent opposition himself. He and his fans seems to think that the British boxing scene is all that matters and that because he has fought some other British fighters who are rated reasonably highly in Britain but are not rated at all in world terms. that counts for anything. It doesn't.

Froch used to be the same until he finally stepped up and fought Pascal. He waited far too long before stepping up to world class, and if he had stepped up a couple of years sooner than he did, he'd have got the fight with Calzaghe that he wanted so much. But he blew it by fighting journeymen for too long. Similarly, if Murray hadn't wasted the last couple of years fighting British journeymen for meaningless titles, but had fought some decent opposition instead, he'd have had a fight with Khan by now.
