Comments Thread For: Usyk: I Need Tyson Fury, The WBC Belt is Just Additional Motivation

OLEKSANDR USYK has called on Tyson Fury to agree to face him in a fight fans will remember for '20, 30 or 40 years'. Usyk puts his WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF titles on the line against Daniel Dubois in Wroclaw, Poland on Saturday night in his first outing for more than a year.

Usyk is a class act and a likeable man. I seriously hope to see him and Fury fight and although I believe the size advantage that Fury has along with top notch ability will be too much for Usyk he still deserves the chance to see if he can slay the giant.

Don't ask for sliding scale purses with the lions share going to the winner, or donations to the Ukraine, or sliding scale purses that the winner gets the lions share in the rematch then. it was a bad move then, and a bad move now.

Why not? Fury is the clear B-side in that fight anyway.

The only way the sliding scale even comes into play is if Fury lost the first fight. He must not like his chances against the middleweight.

How do you figure? Wilder and Wlad were undefeated champions he beat them both and Usyk won the belts off Joshua who already got stopped by Ruiz something Usyk couldn't even do.

Usyk Joshua sold 1.2mill buys at around $24 and we all know who was selling them buys out of them both. Then Fury and Wilder did 800k in the USA at $75 estimated

Usyk is not the A side no chance I bet the PPV buys vs Dubois doesn't outsell the 300k Fury vs Chisora managed despite it being a dud fight

Fury is the A-Side, he has his own Netflix series and a household name.

Nobody know who Usyk is and those requests have never been asked or done before in the sport of boxing. It's unprecendented.

magine if Floyd did this to Pacquiao? Exactly...

The tried a regular purse offer of a sliding scale. Step up your game please. Plus the donation to Ukraine, come on man. If Spence did this to Crawford everybody would have said DUCK MOVE.

There is seriously real hate for Fury. He offered AJ, Ruiz and Usyk shots, all said no. Fury is the lineal champ, has a belt, is the biggest draw by far at HW since the Wilder trilogy. Guys make multiple millions and can name their price for any fight afterwards if they beat him.

They all saw him take Wilder's best and then knock windmill literally off his feet, and none of them want to be knocked out. Fury is too big and too good. I give Usyk credit for calling for it, even though he pulled out in the middle of negotiations.

They are waiting for that Saudi money. We will get it next year.

Those gifs are hilarious by the way.

                  I’m with you on this.

I don’t understand why Usyk is painted as a saint when he made his own ridiculous requests (that were accepted) and he is the one who walked away from the no rematch clause compromise by Fury.

usyk really miscalculated here .it's clear as day that fury is the A side against usyk always was always will be fury brings in that british money. fury fought chisora for a third time and still sold out a stadium. usyk can't do that! In fury's next fight he will be making a hell a lot of more than usyk will against dubois.
