What are some of you talking about her getting her ass kicked? It was a really competitive close fight where Marshall had no respect for her pillowfist and walked her down through Shield's shots she landed with everything she had with little to no reaction.

Savannah stay out of cage fighting, you are doing fine as a boxer. Shields is the best boxer out there at that weight until a better boxer comes along. Why are women like Amanda Serrano fighting in 2 sports? Boxing is better--you have less to worry about, like elbows, kicks, etc.

Only reason these female boxers dabble in MMA is for a pay check. They'll never get paid the same as men fighting 2-minute rounds against limited opposition. There are a handful of women stars, but beyond that, the talent pool is abysmal.

Female boxing needs to move to 3 minute rounds and 7oz gloves. Until then, womens MMA is far more entertaining.

Sexism exists for a reason, nearly every sport has different rules for legitimate reasons. Womens boxing isn't going to be any more entertaining with 3 minute rounds, they can barely go the 2 minute rounds without exhausting themselves so all it would do is make them more conservative and even more boring.

The posts saying women boxers should fight only 2 minutes because they will get exhausted/conservative don’t know a thing. Mma girls can get 5 minute rounds so why not boxers get 3? The talent pool is small in boxing, 3 minute rounds would increase stoppage wins exponentially. Many of the female fighters are trained how to survive two minutes against top tier, 3 would definitely allow the best to excel. Girl fighters have less one punch pop generally speaking so they usually need time to break an opponent down. I actually think that in many cases 3 minute rounds would make the fights shorter. (Serrano and Persoon both would’ve stopped Taylor in 3 minute rounds)

Female boxing in England is way bigger than here in the States. And there are many standout ladies in the sport.
You obviously just don't happen to keep up with it as much as male boxing.

You must not have watched the buildup to Marshall/shields. Shields kept talking while having
basically nothing to say besides dumb baseless taunts. Marshall did a much better job of it, and
after the fight had no bad blood... agreeing Shields won. And when she saw she was having trouble making
weight, she went up a division. Something MANY male boxers do regularly. AND she got a UD win. And now
Shields wants Marshall to come to the States for a RM... when her last fight played out to a tiny crowd.
She just needs to go to England, get a much better paycheck... and take her chances.

Women’s boxing matches are 2 min rounds based on physiology. Women’s skulls aren’t as thick as males and taking shots to the heads can be much more damaging
