Sorry to break it to you, but Ike stole that name from Wilfredo "Bazooka" Gomez. Actually, before Gomez there was a Mexican fighter who used the name also. I do agree is a bad-ass name, especially for Gomez who had a record of 44-3-1 with 42 of those wins by KO for a 95% win/ko ratio. That's why the nickname fitted him the best because he had Bazookas in both hands, at least that's why everybody started calling him that.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. Still when I hear the name Bazooka I think of Ike Quartey cause that's what I'm used to. It's good to know where he got the name from though.
