  • Comments Thread For: Liam Smith on KO of Eubank: The Result Was Nothing That I Didn't Expect

Former world champion Liam Smith does not believe Chris Eubank Jr. was humbled by their first encounter earlier this year. Smith, widely viewed as the underdog, pulled off a tremendous upset when he knocked out Eubank Jr. in four rounds.

Can he do it again? Moneyline is real tasty.

Odds are very interesting. Seems some bookies don't believe Smith will do it again when it was pretty conclusive last time.

Who has Jr. beat ? he's always been overrated , he gave BJS decent fight but then played the big shot having beaten no-one. Liam , old and little is still a decent fighter and will probably do him again.

I thought eubanks chin was in Nelo level, or froch level. Bit of a coincidence his chin is weak after draining down? No, I didn't think Liam would ko eubanks no siree

It's not the bookies, it's the general public at this point. Hearn is invested in the Eubank name to make a Benn fight and whatever else. If Smith sparks him again, the Benn fight probably dissolves. I expect if it goes the distance, the fix will be in unless Liam really puts an arse whuppin on him. With all that said, the lines are very close and food for thought.

Check out the odds for a Smith KO, there's money to be won there.

The why I read this fight is, that Team Smith would of been content to get out of the rematch.

Liam Smith is a solid fighter, but whenever he has fought at a good level 'He has never won easily'.

All of his best wins have been mighty struggles, and even against Anthony Fowler? He was losing the fight until Fowler fatigued.

Smith was the more composed fighter vs Eubank Junior, but once again the fight looked to be developing into another brutal and hard fight for Smith.

The knock-out punch for me was a anomaly, Smith has never been known as a monster puncher 'And there is definitive evidence out there that Eubank Junior was suffering from the chronic effects from the Benn training camp'.

This rematch most likely is going to be a tough fight for Smith, whether he win's or loses.

I think him and his team would of been content with moving on from this fight 'Because they know Smith's win over Eubank I, is potentially going to be as good as it gets'.

Note: I am not sure why people are saying Eubank Junior is overrated. Most people know the level of Eubank Junior, there is no denying that he is solid game fighter. And if people are honest, he has the ability to really push and beat Liam Smith.

Also regarding the weight, Smith is a well known big weight drainer. In the lead up to his fight with Anthony Fowler, he stated 'That he would have to drop more weight than Fowler to make the 154 pound limit. Skill for skill Fowler was the better fighter in that fight, and for me only lost due to fatigue'.

Smith is a good fighter, but he is not miles better than Eubank Junior in terms of boxing ability etc.

War Room War Room likes this.
