Comments Thread For: Canelo: I Beat Crawford At 168 Pounds, What Are You Gonna Say? He's Too Small

Canelo Alvarez isn't interested in fighting Terence Crawford, even if Crawford is willing to come all the way up to 168 pounds for that opportunity. Mexico's Alvarez doesn't think he would get any credit for fighting Crawford at the super middleweight limit because

The same reasoning can be applied to Bivol - Canelo
Why would Bivol accept to fight Canelo at 175.... for the second time?

Canelo just wants to end his career fighting non active fighters or the John Ryder's of the world. Don't expect him to take any competitive fights

He bout to fight lil Charlo though. Lol.

I’d say both fighters have about the same chance of beating Canelo.

Charlo didn't start at 130 though, by weight standards, Canelo started his career at 140, 147,(most of his earlier fights were at 147, so let's say 147) and moved up, so Charlo who has been all his career at 154 technically might be bigger.....

Well what the f*** you doing fighting Charlo then Canelo? That excuse doesn't work when you're having a guy jump two divisions to face you next. If Bud is willing to move up give the fans the fights they want. People calling for Benavidez and there's excuses why it won't happen. Now we have another one we'd love to see and here come reasons why it won't happen.

Didn’t stop you fighting Khan, Cotto, Liam Smith, Hatton, Cintron, Mosley, Lopez etc.

He’s literally fighting the Light Middleweight Champion next too.

by that rationale Canelo is a 147lber and Crawford is at 147 so even right. lol.

It ain’t where you from it’s where you at. Crawford is a 147lber likely moving to 154 effective immediately. I think both Bud and Charlo have about the same chance to defeat Alvarez at 168.

Jermell fought at 147 several times earlier in his career. up until he was 19. I can only imagine he would have fought lighter if he was 15 years old. You guys seriously need to stop ****ing saying "well he started at 140." Think of how many guys would naturally go through divisions if they started that young.
