That is true because Romero is probably the biggest "name" they will have in the near future so they stand to make more money with him keeping the title and them taking a percentages of his purse for each defense.

Oscar used his weight to push them around, which there is no real good guy here, WBA is corrupt but Oscar is just doing it for his own self interest and only signed a guy because he was listed as the mandatory.

All this business side of boxing and their blame games and nonsense is so ******. This is why we need only one belt that charges flat rate so they arent biased.

Who cares, WBA let him fight for the vacant title in May. If they wanted Barroso to fight for the title so bad they should have made Barroso-Romero originally for the vacant title instead even if they had to wait.

If Romero wants to use his mouth to get a fight instead of the title then throw it in the trash can, its worthless anyways, theres no pedigree in, he fought that 40 year old bum to get the title.

I think Oscar signed Davies because of his mandatory spot.
He knows Romero is beatable.
But no way in hell is Haymon gonna let Rolly lose his title to a GBP fighter.

Davies beats Romero for the title.
Oscar makes Davies vs Ryan Garcia.
Ryan beats Davies for the title.
Ryan Garcia is the WBA Super lightweight champion.
