Comments Thread For: Can Oleksandr Usyk Find an Ending?

By Cliff Rold - In recent weeks, the pound-for-pound discussion that has crystallized around Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue as the sports overall standard bearers has been followed almost universally by a third notable name. It's been five years since a breakthrough campaign that elevated him to no less than number two all-time behind

i dont know what goes on behind the scences of boxing when making fights happen Usyk to me seemed unlikely to be where he is right now in the HW division as many skills as he posses. The look of him in his first two HW bouts did not impress then he took care of A. J. but Josh has never been what others have made him out to be but he was and is a ligit HW fighter with lots of backing. There is concern and always will be with big HW's one shot casually thrown can change everything forever, is that a possibility sure .....to me it is still a stepping stone fight for Yousick just as the others were and the finished product of yousick will not show up until his final fight. Choose your fights carefully as you step up in class but not so careful that the fans notice who you pick and who you avoid............

Usyk should be way too good for DuBois, via mid to late rounds too.

I'd be surprised if it goes the distance. Having said that, there doesn't seem to be much difference between a DuBois and say, Jared Anderson. The latter got exposed.

I have some feeling Usyk will have much more problems with Dubois than we expect.

You could be right about the problems Usyk may have with Dubious in this fight i kinda hope he does it would make for a more interesting fight and it would do them both good to have to figure things out and overcome some problems in the ring. One thing i do not see is an early knock out....big prediction there...

Usyk is a great fighter. His power at HW is very limited and he is getting old. According to the rumors over the last six months, the fight between Usyk and Fury in Saudi Arabia in January, with Joshua Wilder as the undecard, the first true mega HW card in a long time, is a done deal. All of the articles and the "Fury ******, Usyk ducked" stuff are basically ****** because they both agreed to waith for the Saudi money.

I mean I guess it is build up or whatever. But it is pretty obvious they are both waiting for that payday.
That fight is 80/20 Fury. He is too big and too good, too strong. Usyk has great skill, but so does Fury, with alot more weight and height behind him.

Usyk beats Fury everyday of the week and twice on a Sunday.
