Sosa vs Mayol Appears To Be On For November 21

As previously reported, Edgar Sosa (36-5, 20KOs) would probably make a defense of his WBC junior flyweight title against tough Filipino fighter Rodel Mayol (25-4-1, 19KOs) Mayol is coming off two tough fights with WBO champion Ivan Calderon. Reports in Mexico suggest the fight is indeed set for November 21 in Mexico. The event looks like it's going to take place at the Palenque de Gallos in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas. [details]

Should be an interesting fight, I think Mayol is Sosa's toughest fight since Viloria.

Sosa just doesn't like 'taking time off' at all.

      I got Sosa by UD

Good, I've been on Sosa for fighting too many bums, but this is a good opponent for him. Sosa by UD,

My exact same thoughts, specially when he just lost a title shot and they just gave him another?

**** him work through the ranks again like any other boxer.

This "bum" would kill Ivan Calderon if not the latter egg-shelled cranium! Well, Sosa thinked that Mayol is an easy prey for his "depidida" food in his north ward bound dream! But basing from Mayol performances against Calderon, he is capable to pull out for an upset.

Nice fight for mayol, and he has good chance for an upset...but he needs to improve his timing specially with this sosa...otherwise it will end up in no contest

Sosa taking a step up in class compared to his recent opponents. Sosa UD. Hopefully he unifies next or moves up in weight.
