"That’s the thing; if you’re a boxing fan, you should be happy for Alvarez-Charlo because it’s one of those fights with a million questions attached to it. Is Canelo done? Is Charlo being fed to the wolves? Will size matter? Does Charlo still have that “It” factor that marked him as a future superstar or has that ship sailed? Is this the kind of danger that will motivate Canelo and bring him to a new level since he’s still only 33 years old?

That’s what makes a great fight, and Alvarez is prepared to bring one. Not for the drama, but for him to prove that it’s the fights that matter."

What a fluff piece. Anybody here like it when PBC makes Boxingscene blow smoke straight up our you-know-what? This article is a joke. Nobody but Charlo fans wants this.

This is not a "great fight". Canelo has looked beatable since Bivol took his soul and Charlo has been ducking a dude in his own weight class (Tszyu) for 6 months. Please just get this over with. Ugh.

Fighting "heavy guys"? GGG came up from 160 and Ryder is a 168 guy all day.

Everybody is overlooking something he said...
" I know why I didn’t look as good in my last two fights"

He had all kind of 'reasons' for his loss against Bivol but didn't he say he was now 100% and injury free before the Ryder fight?? And now there is also a 'reason'?

I was a fan of Canelo for a long time but I kinda turned off after I noticed he was getting arrogant.
After Bivol and the wrist surgery he said in a video 'nobody can beat me if I'm 100% percent. Nobody' There is a fine line between being self-confident and arrogant and I believe Canelo has crossed that line.

I don't like how Canelo basically starting to act like the loss to Bivol never happened, so if a rematch doesn't happen it doesn't matter. Like 'he just caught me on a bad (injured) day, that's all'
He or Reynoso never gave Bivol any credit for the win, just excuses that he wasn't his best and actually talk condescending about Bivol's performance.
You've been beating clearly and than you say in an interview that 'he is not better than me' and that Bivol can't do any better and he can. That is just plain and annoying arrogance.

GGG is no walk in the park, Ryder fights at super middle weight. Canelo's best weight class is middleweight. His power was overstated when he unified at middleweight by facing glass jaw champions. Canelo stayed at the higher weight class, because he was avoiding the power punchers in his true weight class like Benavidez, Jamal Charlo, Andrade, Munguia, etc..He was hoping to continue to look good against the weaker power punchers at light heavyweight, but then he met his match in Bivol. He hasn't lost a step. It's harder to beat the heavier boxers for him, as his power isn't really effective against the stronger/bigger fighters. He's comfortable at 168. Jermell will most likely feel his power.

canelo is probably declined from his peak but he still should have enough to beat charlo i would say, going by past performances a stoppage is unlikely

The string of sht fights on his resume just keeps growing and growing. It's already a joke. Guy had at least 4 chances to fight Beterbiev instead he was running around saying he could beat Usyk lol..

I mean if Bivol, GGG etc. can’t stop him how is the smaller Charlo going to? Only if he’s been on the snout powder every night since the gorilla fight.

I expect this to be another GGG Brook.
