I think Charlo walks around at 180-185 easy. He won't have to weight cut as much to fight Canelo. I think he comes in at 165-166lbs on fight night to fight Canelo. Canelo was in the 154 lb division for a while before moving up two divisions. I think Canelo ate himself up to 168 lbs. Boxing isn't always about weight as much as it is skills. There are weight divisions for a reason but when they both come in at close weights, to me it becomes more skill based. I hope that Charlo's trainer does his homework on Canelo and him and Charlo draw up a nice game plan on fight night. If Charlo goes in there wanting to test his power and stand toe to toe with Canelo then he will get caught, hurt and possibly stopped. If Charlo goes in there, moves, boxes, works behind a good jab and has great stamina then he can beat Canelo. This is when skill matters more.Comment

Charlo's last big pay day. Maybe his only big pay day? I always wondered what his purses were in the past.Comment

Why? we've seen much worse match ups than this. It'll be interesting to see how the younger, skilled Charlo measures up to the naturally smaller and aging but still quite dangerous Canelo.Comment

Charlo’s already solid, while Canelo is looking chubby.Last edited by SplitSecond; 08-15-2023, 08:41 PM.Comment

Charlo isn't great, he's good, and his ability to shrink-down to 154 allows him to over powering smaller guys late. At 168 Charlo doesn't have that advantage and that's why he's on the menu. It's an ok fight while it lasts but I'm not paying for it.Comment
