I rate Wilder extremely highly, but lets get this right?
Wilder has never faced a boxer and power puncher like Anthony Joshua ever in his career 'Wilder has never faced that combination in one fighter'.
Tyson Fury is a great boxer, but he is not a monster puncher 'Fury was still able to deck and **** Wilder out'.
Whether it is pure boxing or power punching 'Anthony Joshua is rated in the top-3 fighters in the Heavyweight division, with those two attributes'.
Outside of Fury & Usyk, Joshua statistically is the next best pure boxer in the Heavyweight division 'Outside of Wilder and maybe Dubois, Joshua is again rated in the top 3 most powerful punchers in the Heavyweight division'.
Anthony Joshua is a super Heavyweight, and his endurance compared to 95% of the other Heavyweights in the division is at a good level 'So when you combine all these factors, it is clear that Joshua has the ability to win a fight vs Deontay Wilder'.
Joshua fundamentally is a more technically correct fighter than Tyson Fury 'For all the way people mock Joshua's style. Joshua does not make the same kind of unforced errors or technical mistakes like Fury does in most of his fights, Fury is innately a extremely clumsy fighter'.
It was Peter Fury who tamed and refined this innate clumsiness, but it is still there you see it in all of his fights.
So don't get carried with all these narratives like 'Fury moves like Middle Weight, nobody can figured him out'.
It is just utter nonsense, because since Tyson Fury left Peter Fury 'Heavyweights can find him inside the ring. Fury has been decked more times than Joshua, even though Joshua has fought at a higher level more consistently'.
I don't buy into this narrative that Joshua has to wade forward vs Wilder like Fury did 'Fury had to fight Wilder in that manner, because he is a clumsy fighter. Fury tried to out box Wilder in the first fight, was backed up all night and decked twice once badly'.
Note: Joshua has the ability to beat Deontay Wilder. But like Fury, Joshua at some point is going to have to come through Wilder's power 'This is where Tyson Fury deserves major credit'.
It is not only Wilder's power, it is also the constant threat of violence 'When a fighter faces Wilder, they are competing against potential DOOM'. It is a different kind of pressure which may effect a fighter's ability to carry out or stick to a game plan 'So even before they are wacked by Wilder, a fighter may not be operating at the level they should be'.
Tyson Fury was able to still under that type of pressure, stick to his tactics 'And I believe that is how a fighter should fight Wilder, you have to be decisive. If a fighter is not decisive or is shook away from their tactics when they face Wilder abnormal aggression, it will be difficult for them to win'.
So of course I believe Anthony Joshua can win vs Wilder. I understand that it is not a easy or straight forward fight 'And it is also not just down to Wilder's power. Skill for skill Wilder may not be a elite fighter in terms of pure boxing skill, but Wilder does have a solid Jab and his determination and level of aggression is abnormal compared to most other Heavyweights from this era' etc.
