I think Tuaman could beat both Haye and Wladimir, but I'm not so sure about Vitali. If he stayed in the same shape. Haye and Wlad both have a tendency to slow down in the latter rounds. And Tua has had several knockouts or stoppages in the championship rounds. Thats whats so exciting about him, you never know when he might get going.
Don't get carried away over a win against Cameron after a two year absence. I doubt Tua would beat anyone in the top 5 or so at heavyweight, much less Wladimir.
Understood. And that's probably what would happen, but you left off the right hand against stationary targets like Tua and left off the part about him winning. I love me some Tua, but Wlad would most likely Lennox Lewis him, if not worse at this stage. Tua was in great shape for this fight, but he's no spring chicken anymore.
Tua has had big trouble with taller, very moble fighters who box well. I think Chambers would give him trouble (for awhile), and both Wlad and Vitali (both are just too damned big and hard to catch for someone Tua's size, though he's one of the few I'd give a legitimate puncher's chance against Vitali, even more so against Wlad) would probably take an easy decision over David. And Valuev, at 7' would be nearly impossible for Tua to even reach. Other than that, he'd probably be a favorite (to varrying degrees) over nearly everyone else. Not because he's that good, but because his equalizer (power) is bigger than most every other guy's out there. Plus, he's got massive ring experience against some of the best fighters in the world, and about as solid a chin as has ever been cast in (5140 billet steel).
If Tua gets down to 217-220 he would be dangerous.
No need for him to get that light, power is his biggest strenght and he would have to lose muscle to get that low and would be less powerfull. The best fighting weight for Tua today is propably 230-235 pounds. Hes a samoan bull, manny samoans are build like that.
