Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua On Training In US vs. UK: 'I Learned That I Don't Work Hard Enough'

Anthony Joshua started increasingly getting embedded in the United States boxing culture shortly after losing to Oleksandr Usyk during their first encounter in 2021.

I'm sure AJ suffers from verbal dyslexia, it seems to come out all wong when he talks.

I sometimes think AJ is so desperate for people to love him that he will say what he thinks they want to hear.

And he's got it completely wrong with these comments. If he achieves with Derrick James anything close to what he achieved with McCracken, he will have done well.

Garcia as good as said AJ is lazy and show up when you please, McCracken implied it, it's nothing to do with being "British" it's YOU...

You managed a dodgy gold medal and 3 belts whilst being lazy under a British trainer in England, McCracken shouldn't of allowed you to get away with whatever you pleased but his focus was primarily on fostering potential young talent on the GB squad not you.

And quite frankly it says a lot about the division at the time that you managed to get 3 belts and corruption in the case of the Olympics i felt bad for Savon and Camerelle.

Translation :Garcia was right all along about Aj & his yes men hangers on & that's not a bond, that's James fed up with being ignored & becoming a yes man himself to keep the delusional one happy.

Salute to Robert Garcia. He's not a yes man. Kudos to Joshua, he accepts his shortcomings honestly.

A man named Manouk Akopyan can’t spell Helenius correctly. I know the standards are low on boxingscene but come on. Names are not that hard if you can read.

It’s odd that with more boxing training AJ has become heavier. To hold that muscle mass without doing lots of weights seems impossible unless on the juice. Or TRT from the family doctor.

Been saying it for decades , U.K facilities and methods can’t compare to top U.S ones it’s night and day . Like going on vacation training in the U.K vs serious work like a boot camp over here . I expect an entirely different Joshua from now on no matter how he wins . It’s why some U.S trainers go over there and have to like pull teeth with certain guys over there , they aren’t used to what actually putting in 100% is .
