It's probably widely known here but did you know that Wepner was the inspiration for the movie Rocky? A young Stallone was in the audience during his fight with Ali.

Yeah i knew that, it's a shame that considering that fact Wepner isn't more well known amongst casual fans, his performance against Ali was awesome.

andre looked good at the time he was making more money as a wrestler,if he would of been a boxer he would of been the universal champ,did you see in this clip how fast his hands were,the combos were landing at will,and when wepner tried throwing a punch andres fast footwork let him backpeddle out of the way,andre would of been boxing champ in any era
