Miguel Cotto's "Stamina Issue"..

Why is this brought up like he's some kind of Zab Judah when it comes to Stamina..I'm not saying it's the best..but it's not bad..he can comfortably go 12 with out looking dead..he's done it!..

so can someone please name all the fights that Cotto has "gassed out" in..or are these the ****riders that have only seen him fight from Margarito til now?..

Its simple hate or they just don't know the facts.
In Cotto's last 9 fights 3 have gone 12 rounds- all wins(Mosley,Clottey,Malinaggi), 3 have gone 11- 2 TKO's (Judah and Urkal)and one (TKO loss to Marg.*),and 3 were stopped in 5(Gomez,Quintana and Jennings). It takes gas to get to the end of 12, it takes gas to TKO someone in the 11TH ROUND. IF one wants to say his endurance is questionable because of a questionable loss in the 11th...so be it.

I don't think he has a stamina issue but he does have an issue with cuts on his face and inside his mouth. That probably hurts his stamina whne all that blood is coming out

I agree Cotto's stamina is being overrated by his fans right now.

Cotto's stamina is fine.

He didn't gas against Mosley. He was up on the cards, the cut from the Judah fight reopened in the 9th, and he realized he wasn't getting Mosley outta there. The 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th were all close rounds.

Margarito just beat the **** outta him and made him fight a fight he wasn't capable of fighting.

He didn't gas against Clottey. Again, a guy that just wasn't going anywhere, Cotto started boxing and using lateral movement. When other fighters do that it's boxing, when Cotto does it, he's running.

look, cotto's stamina is not bad, but it's not great either.

I think that's a fair assessment.

The difference would be apparent if the fight with Pac goes late because Pac's not going to throw 30 punches a round late in the fight.

I've seen Cotto look fatigued as early as the 8th in some fights, but one thing I like is in the 12th he usually tries to rise it back up and win the fight.

I thought it was odd he felt he had an easy victory over Shane when he mailed it in there.

It was becoming too close of a fight for him to get cute.


He stole the fight from Clottey by fighting in the 12th. Shows he's a champion. But Clottey could've sealed the deal in my mind if he went guns blazing in the 12th.

He didn't. Cotto had the presence of mind to take that round.

And I've never seen him hurt anybody with punches while he lands them going backwards. But the judges give him credit for it anyway. My nickname for Cotto is the Rican Road Runner. Can't stand that vacant belt scavenging *****. Someone post that gay picture up of where he is sitting on the lap of his fat friend.

Yeah Ok ...so the big question is, If CLottey is a bigger giant than Cotto the Giant..why do you still not give Cotto the credit he deserves in his win over the great giant Clottey?
Like you believe that Cotto should beat Pac because he is so huge and has that size advantage.
You yourself say that Cotto should be embarrassed if he cant beat a smaller fighter. Well Cotto beat a Bigger fighter in Clottey....why the double standard?
