Comments Thread For: Valdez On Navarrete's Last Performance: What I Saw Was A Fighter That You Can Never Count Out

Oscar Valdez was limited to a ringside view on a night he was meant to be the main attraction. It gave him the chance to further scout countryman Emanuel Navarrete, who overcame his first career knockdown to stop Australia's Liam Wilson in the ninth round of their February 4 slugfest at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale,

The more I think about this fight the more I'm leaning towards Valdez by decision.

Funny you say that bc I’m kinda starting to lean that way too. The only person to beat Valdez was Shakur S..
I think the movement and speed was too much that night, whereas I don’t see Navarrete having such talent in those areas. Hopefully it’s a barn burner!

Navarette by stoppage. Navarette is too long, thuding punches, and akward for Valdez. He will show Shakur how it's done.

But will he ever fight Shakur? Valdez did!

When top rank offer good money he will. I would love that fight. Shakur didn't look to impresive vs Valdez, skticking out jab all night keep his distance and never taken a point away. Shakur can't fight in the inside and is to conventional. I think he will have trouble with Navarette akwardness. Plus Navarette will probably have reach advantage.

Navarette has always seemed much more eager to face Valdez than Shakur! I think his team knows Shakur is all wrong for him!

When they are both in the same weight class we can say it's a duck. As of now, not really.

Not calling Navarette a duck, but does he really want Shakur? Not Really!

You probably think Gervonta, Haney, Loma, Frank Martin, Issac Cruz, Muratalla, and Jemaine Ortiz also don't want Shakur.
