REVELATIONS: Bottomline, DLH is scared **** of WINky

I happened to have been searching for any threads about DLH and I ran into this.

The thread was started about 2yrs. ago. The poster who came up w/ the topic as you can all see was getting bashed all over the place, but if you look at what's happening NOW. I think the poster has a legitimate gripe towards DLH.

I was just reading an article today, here at BoxingScene, it was submitted by AP wire, titled "No Retirement, DLH to fight in '07".

Here were some statements from the article, that were made by Oscar De La Hoya himself...

-DLH said, "the one and only fight for his retirement will be against Floyd Mayweather Jr".-The article also said that a DLH - PBF matchup could have a potential of $40 million for DLH.

-However DLH made it a point, that "Money WOULD NOT BE A FACTOR"

- The article also noted that PBF would have to move from 147 to 154lbs.

See everyone's argument is,is that nothing has been written in stone as to which weightclass this mega-fight will take place, but DLH has been pretty consistent w/ his statements during his recent interviews that he's really looking at 154lbs. and no lower. This makes more sense because DLH has been fighting at 154-160 for years now. His performances may have been lackluster for the most part, but he has settled at this weight and against an undersize guy he has a huge advantage.

Here's another statement from the same article that pretty much says it all about how much he's duckin' WINky.

DLH said, " That the ONLY name I can come up w/ that will satisfy

me to train for 3months & prepare myself is against PBF".

I don't get it DLH seems pretty solid on which weightclass this will take place and that is 154lbs. So 147 I guess would be sapping his strength.

A fight against WINky would be alot more meaningful and will definitely leave any doubts as far as DLH's greatness is concerned. Afterall it's DLH's performances in big-time fights that have many people questioning the "Running Boy".

A fight with WINky will erase all that

I think this thread has alot of significance to what's taking place now.

A strong showing by WINky last Saturday, and the fact that Winky stated that he'll fight anyone between 154-160. he has also beaten 2 of DLH's rivals

This WINky - DLH matchup has more substance and a better storyline, than that cheap soap opera of DLH's trainer against his son.

This is the FIGHT BUSINESS SON, and DLH has never proven he could, unless your last name was Leija, Ruelas, and there's so many overhyped bums I can't remember.
