  • Comments Thread For: Jake Paul's Multi-Platform Distributed PPV vs. Nate Diaz Shows Fighters The Power Of Controlling Their Careers

By Manouk Akopyan - Jake Paul will be fighting Nate Diaz on Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, home of the Mark Cuban-owned Mavericks. The American Airlines Center announced Thursday that the event will generate the second-highest recorded gate for a combat sports event in the arena's history, second only to the UFC 277 event held last year.

Kinda Misleading. It only works if your popular and not many boxers are as popular as Jake paul if any at all

Sounds good, but this only applies to the guys that are big draws in the sport. If he was a real boxer that had to work his way from the bottom up with no Instagram following, he would know that most of this doesn't apply to 99% of boxers. Goes to show that social media really makes people believe they know so much, when they really don't know ish.

I hope it's entertaining. Will have a look on YouTube, after the fight.

I've sometimes wondered why Nate puts his hands up in that fighting pose, kinda like the Jack Johnson style of how he held his hands up, in the 1920's.

Kudos to Jake Paul for sharing his fame and consequently wealth to boxers, especially women boxers, making Amanda Serrano a millionaire, and Serrano in turn helping other female boxers get into a Jake Paul card.

side of the street excuses are now dead. its just an excuse not to fight. Crawford also exposed that. everyone take note. go independent, try fight the best. if you see fighter fight low level guys (boots etc) and try brainwash cult members, which always works (lol) into believing nobody will fight them, they ain't with right promotion etc, They are lying, they don't have top talent. simple

This is why Jake Paul used to be #1 in every respectable P4P list.

It only does it work for guys who are big draws, his opponent also has to also generate interest AND either be a promotional free agent, or with a promoter who will allow him to fight outside his banner. So in theory this is great. But in reality it’s not very practical.
