Hopkins picks Trinidad to beat Winky

Winky will stay there and try to trade with him and it’ll be exciting but Trinidad will get him. At the end Trinidad will get him; overpower him. I think with Winky, being too brave is gonna get him.”
If Hopkins is right, Trinidad’s victory over Wright would clear a path for the rematch that for awhile at least, looked as if it might never happen. I ask if Hopkins thinks Trinidad wants to fight him again.
“I think Tito and his father want to fight me but I think Don knows that he can’t beat me…But at the end of the day Trinidad and his father, they call the shots. At this stage of their career they’ve got Don over a barrel.”

yea he knows that he can't make that much money against Winky, but then he might take a bigger risk if he fights Taylor in June..Taylor can pull the upset and then we'll have Taylor-Trinidad/Wright in September...

Well what Hopkins says doesn't make a difference, in the end whoever is meant to win will win. Why can't he just say his opinion without being eaten alive for it. On the flipside I bet if he would have said, he thinks Winky Wright will win, and that Trinidad has nothing left, people would say, he doesn't want anymore of Trinidad so he wants Winky to win. My point is the guy is just saying his opinion, what does his opinion have to do with influencing who will win? If anything what he says, might help Winky put in his mind to "stay smart" and don't get over-confident.
