    SRL vs Floyd Sr.

I always love watching this fight. You could see that Senior may have been very good if he didnt get shot. You could also see the makings of little Floyd's D in there. People always get upset about little Floyd not respecting SRL more but I always say that little Floyd is also an ATG and SRL beat his dad. You cant look at it from a fan's view of a legend. He probably wanted to beat SRL his whole life. He's not going to look up to him like he's better then him when he's also been great and ranked P4P #1. He also comes from Michigan where Hearns is from so thats a double whammy. SRL is from my area though so I have mad love for him.

Its funny because if youre watching this fight and you said that one of these guys will have a son who is an ATG, you wouldve definatly said it would be SRL as Senior looked kinda like a crack head but no doubt he had skills. Those guys looked tall & big for WW's back then. Thats why I always say its unfair to compare a WW Floyd Jr to SRL. If you want to compare them then do it P4P like a WW SRL vs a SFW Floyd Jr. Thats more realistic. Anyways, this was a good scrap

I love watching this fight also. But Leonard is my favorite boxer of all time period. But watching this fight, you can see that Leonard's uppercut was starting to break the soulder roll D

A good jab, making the opponet be defensive, then as the opponent steps in to be offensive (which jr would have to do because of leonard reach adv) the str8 right, uppercut, or to the body.. The shoulder roll is great vs blockin theleft hook or looping rights,,but the jab down the pipe, or a right down the pipe, works but vs jr he had amazing reflexes and ducks many of these.

Anywho.Leoanrd vs Sr or Jr, is not a contest. They can not keep him off of them.

If Mayweather Sr is not on crack during that fight with SRL most probably he was KTFO in the first round.

perhaps Floyd Mayweather Sr. advice to his son was: If you want to reach the top don't fight anyone your own size.

Good point, probably that's the main reason floyd Jr is ducking the real welterweights. The style he inherited from crackhead S. doesn't work with same size and/or slightly bigger opponents.

Floyd Sr. did kind of good against SRL and Floyd jr. is way better than floyd sr. so foir those of you who overate SRL its very possible floyd jr. would have beaten him in his time.

Floyd sometimes switches his defence up at times and uses conventional D rather than always shoulder roll, probably the main reason being to throw his opponent off but also maybe to block punches that his shoulder roll may not be stopping well enough.
