Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis Calls Out Terence Crawford: "Stay At 47 So We Can Get Active"

Jaron Ennis believes he's been patient long enough. With the IBF interim tag safely around his waist, the Philly star is convinced that he should be next in line to face Terence Crawford.

TBH, I'd love to see this fight for sure but Boots does nothing for TC at this point. If I'm TC, I'm only going for legacy-defining accolades and that's going for undisputed at 154 before riding into the sunset

Ennis missed his shot for being too nice and patient. He should have pushed way harder for a fight with Crawford or Spence when those two were just circling each other. He needs a name-building fight with either of those guys way more than they need him, and now he probably won't get it. Crawford has very little pressure on him at the moment to face one of the young lions (Ennis, Stanionis, Ortiz), so none of those fights is likely going to happen. Crawford's future and final fights will be at 154lbs. The young lions at WW will have to make their own history.

As ready as he'll ever be. Who would be a bigger challenge at WW?

I'm pretty sure Crawford is done @ '47.

Let's be real. Terrence is not getting Charlo no time soon because Charlo is going for legacy as well and if Charlo wins he'd be an absolute fool to come back down to 54, if anything he needs to go to 160. TC needs to try to get Tim Zu and the Spence rematch for now. Thurman would also be a good stay-busy fight. As for Spence if I'm him I'm trying to fight Thurman @ 54 before a rematch with Bud.

I also think a tune-up with Thurman before the Crawford rematch would be smart, but not sure their contract gives him that option. I assume it doesn't, but it might be smart for Crawford to allow that because Spence really needs his reputation restored. As it stands, few fans think a rematch would be competitive so that doesn't bode well for the promotion.

I like the energy but stop wasting time! Stanionis, Thurman, or Ugas! Let's Go!

Also, you know where they headed, maybe meet them there? Tim Tszyu, Brian Mendoza? Think about it! 147 is dead, without Bud & Errol!
