Why are you giving Spence higher chances at 154?

Like I said before, he has nothing to offer to beat Crawford. His loss has nothing to do with the weight, fair and simple. He lost because he is miles behind Bud on boxing skills and there is no reason to believe he would do better against him at 154. Spence got taken to school in the most dominant manner I had ever seen in a unification fight. I think Bud is happy about doing a rematch for this exact reason - it's easy work and easy money. I rewatched the fight again last night and was shocked even more how easy he made it look.

Although he has cemented his legacy last weekend, Bud should go take belts at 154. He probably has 2-4 years left and I think he has a good chance to become unprecedented unified in 3 weight classes. There would be no questions about the GOAT status if he achieved that.

its a stretch that he can even win.

i think its a good chance he can look better. i mean can he look much worse, we would expect his chin to get better which is a bad thing for him he would take a prolonged beating.

The only reason I can imagine is youre old enough to remember Hearns pretty much getting robbed against Ray at the heavier weight.

Even then, he was outboxing Ray at 147. Spence was never doing anything remotely like that.

I agree. Too bad Charlo had to ruin things going up to face Canelo in a MEANINGLESS fight. Instead, he could of allowed Bud to shoot for greatness and snatch all them belts at 154lbs. Imagine that? Takes down both of Derrick James undisputed fighters at two separate weight classes. It would be remarkable to see.

I also think Spence has absolutely nothing to offer Crawford, even at 154lbs. Crawford annihilated him in southpaw position, Spence style his entire career. I said it before and I'll say it again, Crawford didn't even have to leave 1st gear for this fight. He has like 5 more gears he could show if he had to and didn't even need to. It was like taking candy from a child.
