Was thinking of whats next for Harrison and come up with an idea...What about Audley Harrison vs Tyson Fury? it would be a cracking fight for both of them and would pray Audley sparked out Fury.

TYSON-a RARE Breed
This tournament was interesting to me ONLY because the winner , Harrison, was foretold by none other than the rarest of the whole boxing scene- a GENUINE expert- none other than MIKE TYSON.
I think he was the ONLY one to select Harrison, and I hope he backed him for a ton of money.
If Tyson were to be signed on as an expert commentator by some network, that alone, would probably result in a great deal more interest in boxing from the eneral public.

It's only been a few weeks since O'Connor as referee/sole judge gave an outrageous scorecard in favour of Williams over John McDermott. It became a BBBofC disciplinary case, with BBBoC ordering a rematch, but not putting any sanctions on O'Connor.
You can argue about that decision by the BBBofC. But how on earth could they put O'Connor straight in as a third man in the ring of Williams' very next fight?
And O'Connor did shamelessly try to help Williams again. Baker had a perfect knockdown taken away from him in the second round, as O'Connor ruled it a slip, and Williams was allowed quite a bit of roughhousing.
Luckily, the fight got the right winner in the end.Last edited by Bogs; 10-02-2009, 06:54 PM.

I think Danny came in a bit dry. If you notice, he got wobbled in the first second of the fight and Sky didn't mention it. Danny didn't start heating up til the 3rd round. I think he would have been safe for the victory if the fight was longer. I didn't fancy his chances on a competition based on 3 rounds. But he's not the superhero he once was

The Irish in England
IRISH fighters have ALWAYS been able to box for British titles. Ireland and England hold a special relationship with each other, born out of the conquest by Normans and centuries of British rule. During Ireland's lean times, the ferries used to be full of Irish going to live in England and look for work. The two countries used to be known as "The British Isles".
There are probably as many [or more] Irish in England, as there are in Ireland, and immediately on arrival can partake fully in the English way of life.
By the way, the famous "English" trainer Ingle, is Irish. He probably was born in England, but his is a Dublin family. I think Jimmy Ingle was his uncle or father. Jimmy was a very famous amateur Dublin, Irish championship fighter in several weights beginning at flyweight when a kid, and ending in England as a middleweight.
I used to train with him in Dublin, and knew him well. We always ended our sessions with a visit to a pub, for a pint of Guinness. His professional career never lived up to his amateur promise......badly managed and poorly trained I'm sure.
