Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Says He Will Not Be Training Chris Eubank Jr. Ahead of Liam Smith Rematch

Chris Eubank Jr. will apparently try to avenge his loss to Liam Smith without a familiar voice in his corner. Roy Jones, the Hall of Fame fighter and trainer, revealed earlier this week that he would not be training Eubank ahead of the latter's scheduled rematch with Liverpool's Smith on Sept. 2 at AO Arena in Manchester, site of their first fight.

Most often than not Roy always seem to be in the losing corner so it’s good for him because Eubank has another “A” whipping coming! The problem with Roy is more often than not he’s trying to train fighters to do the things he once did and they only have a 1/10 of his talent. Facts!

Surely he sees that though and therefore needs to change his training accordingly?

Exactly. Chris looked like a goof trying to bounce around with his hands low like RJJ used to do before KO'ing his opponent

Eubank is untrainable. Even Ronnie Davis who clearly knew the Eubanks better than any other trainer said he can't be trained. He doesn't listen to constructive criticism. He was born with an elitist, holier than thou attitude and unfortunately his talent will likely never be fully realized.
