He's decent, but loses whenever he steps up the competition level. Mayorga, Forrest, and Spinks beat him, although he did beat Spinks the first time they fought. He seems to be well past his prime now.

He's a very skilled fighter, like most top notch European boxers. However, he does not have power and I think that's what kept him out of the elite group at either 147 or 154. With a better chin he might have defeated Mayorga but Vernon Forrest was just too strong for him plus he had skills to match him. All in all, a very classic European, finesse boxer.

I agree with evrything you said except that he didn't beat Spinks the first time either.

One of the worst robbesries I've seen.

I agree it was robbery too, I'm just going with what the official result was. In Italy, Spinks was asking for trouble taking this fight.

            Yes he did.

But he proved balls nad character fighting him twice in Italy.

I respect Soinks more due to that.

Spinks has been on the short end of some questionable decisions. Piccirillo, Philips, and Taylor all were close and Spinks lost them all. He was much more exciting against Latimore then I expected, hopefully he keeps fighting like that.

                  Agreed.

Me personally I thought he won them all.

But he did get a close one with Judah the first time.
